Open Borders / Frontier Map Program

$50.00

Adrian Forrow is an artist and illustrator based in Toronto, Canada. His work explores the simple beauty and absurdity found in imperfect forms. Open Borders begins with the familiar framework of the Mercator World Map, but uses colour and abstraction to blur standard regional divisions. Commissioned as part of Frontier Magazine Issue 01 / Beginnings, Adrian took on the task of exploring regional borders from scratch. The piece is an experiment that strips away political and ideological conventions, looking at our planet from a purely formal perspective and seeing what new territory can be explored.
